Handling passengers well above the initial capacity of the terminal at Bergen
Airport accentuated the need for building a new terminal to handle future
passenger growth. An architectural competition was undertaken and a number
of architect firms submitted their proposals for the new terminal. Alan Bork
participated as a jury-member in selecting the winning bid.
The winning project was submitted by Narud Stokke Wiig Architects, a world
renowned architect firm that also did the new Oslo Gardemoen airport in the
late 90’ties. |
